Putting Health and Well-Being at the top of the Menu

News

Our goal is to be the leading health and well-being food company. Simply put, when you look for something that tastes good, that’s fresh, that has clean labels, that’s organic – you’ll find it in the food we make.

But what exactly does the phrase “health and well-being” mean to you?

You may describe healthful foods as fresh, naturally functional and organic – and you may insist on easily finding these real foods at your local grocery store.

As far as well-being, you might seek out comfort foods that provide a sense of purpose and shared values. And admit it – you know that “well-being” can include taking a pause in your day, a moment of satisfaction or celebration with a cookie or a biscuit – in moderation – that’s made with real ingredients.

You define health and well-being in a variety of ways, but our definition begins with real food.

For us, real food means food made with simple, recognizable and desirable ingredients from plants and animals, so you don’t need a periodic table to understand the label. It’s crafted with care using ethical sourcing and sustainable practices. It’s delicious, safe and available at a fair price—all three, without compromise.

Yes, our aspiration is to be the leading health and well-being food company, but we know we have a lot of work on the horizon to get us there. At the same time, we’ve taken big steps already!

Did you know our products provide nearly 15 billion servings of vegetables and more than 2.4 million tons of whole grains to consumers annually, and our faster-growing organic portfolio is in the industry’s top 10?

With the addition of Bolthouse Farms, Plum Organics and Garden Fresh Gourmet, we added something real for just about everyone to love – fresh carrots and dressings, organic foods for babies and toddlers, and refrigerated salsa and hummus, to name a few.

In addition to our portfolio brands, we’re continuing to fund Habit, a personalized nutrition start-up.

We also recently announced our intent to acquire Pacific Foods, a natural foods industry pioneer with delicious broth, soup, plant-based beverages, and other meals and sides that offer strong health and well-being and organic credentials.

We’re proud of our 148-year heritage of providing safe, affordable and simple foods for health and well-being that’s within the reach of most pocketbooks. We also appreciate our powerful connection with consumers — whether it’s our iconic soups, Goldfish crackers, Plum baby food, or Tim Tam biscuits, we are constantly working to deliver on our Purpose of “Real Food that Matters for Life’s Moments.”
